Sterilization Protocol
Our primary objective is to keep you and your family safe, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re taking a number of measures to ensure that your visit to our office is convenient, secure, and comfortable.
How often and when do dental practitioners in your office use disinfectant hand soap?
Disinfectant hand soap is used by our staff during, before, and after each patient visit. It is also available at multiple stations throughout the practice for all patients and staff.
How do dental practitioners in your office protect themselves and patients with PPE such as gloves, face masks, etc.?
Morey Dental’s staff has been trained on all procedures recommended by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). To ensure we’re following up-to-date procedures as directed for COVID-19, we require gloves and face masks for all staff. We also use protective barrier coverings for noncritical clinical contact surfaces. These coverings are changed between each patient on a routine basis.
Further, to ensure social distancing, patients are not permitted in the waiting area. For their convenience and safety, we call them while they’re in their car to welcome them into the office for their appointment.
How does your office clean equipment and work areas to protect patients?
Our practice utilizes the latest dental sterilization equipment and machines, including dental autoclaves, dental sterilizers, and steam sterilizers. The use of these machines allows us to clean dental instruments thoroughly, killing bacteria and viruses by applying pressure, steam, and heat.
Additionally, we make sure our practice is safe and clean by cleaning countertops, exam rooms, and surfaces with EPA approved disinfectants and ensure that all equipment is sterilized before and after each use.
Does your office use disposable tools and materials?
Most of the instruments we use for patient care are disposable, including gloves, masks, gowns, gauze, brushes, and floss. Once used, these items are safely discarded.
Exam and procedure instruments that cannot be discarded are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each using ultrasonic cleaners. They are then packaged, sterilized, and disinfected. Our dental sterilization process and protocol always follow dental safety best practices.

Reviews From Real Patients
Wendi L.
"I have been seeing Dr. Miller and the staff at Morey Dental for as long as I can remember. This is the only dental team my children have ever known. We have never had a bad experience. The quality of care and the professional, friendly staff are hands down the best! If you are looking for a dental team to take care of you or your family, please give Morey Dental a call. The only regret you will have is why you didn't call them sooner."
